What is “Internet Marketing”?

Webopedia, defines Internet Marketing, or Online Marketing, as “advertising and marketing efforts that use the Web and e-mail to drive direct sales via e-commerce as well as sales leads from Web sites or emails”. And what that typically means in real terms to most Web entrepreneurs is, “How do I attract more relevant new/first time visitors to MY Web site?”

Internet Marketing and the “Top of The Sales Funnel”

What should YOU do to attract relevant new/first time visitors to YOUR Web site? If you take only one concept away from your visit to this Internet Marketing Course, make it this one:

Internet Marketing, when applied to the “Top of the Sales Funnel” (i.e. the point at which new/first time visitors “enter” your Web site based on search engine searches) is all about INFORMING and EDUCATING those visitors about your product, service or cause.
