Brian Wood, Director of Marketing & SEO for online home goods giant Wayfair, just contributed an extremely interesting article titled “New Findings Show Google Organic Clicks Shifting to Paid” on SEO super site MOZ.
Even if you are not trying to sell these types of products, or for that matter, not trying to sell any goods whatsoever on Google, still read this article! Why? Because Brian includes some fascinating graphics that show the ever-increasing presence of paid ads on Google SERPs (Search Result Pages) in page space formerly devoted to organic (unpaid) search results.
In particular, the last half of the article contains graphics that show how this has been happening with actual images of Google SERPs through the years. Truly fascinating.
Thanks, Brian.
